Processing of Personal Data Provided through the Company’s Contact Form

Legal basis for the processing of your personal data:

The providing and processing of your personal data is necessary to fulfill the legitimate interests of the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP). You have the right (but not an obligation) to contact the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) to praise, criticize or make inquiries of the company.

The legal basis for the processing in this case is:

  • keyword (title): legitimate interest.

Personal Data Processed

The personal data that the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will be processing depends on the nature of the contact being made – for example, is it a specific request or general inquiry – and the handling of such personal information will be in conformity with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  
In all situations, the required personal data includes the person’s first and last name and email address.
Optional data would include additional contact and identification information.

Your personal data is being processed in order to do the following:

  • receive and respond to a submitted inquiry or request,
  • communicate with a data subject (individual),
  • maintain company records on suggestions, complaints and compliments,
  • track and monitor the manner in which the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP). handles submitted complaints, inquiries, etc.

Recipients or categories of recipients of Personal Data
Submitted personal data is not transferred to other entities or third parties. In exceptional situations, your personal data may be passed on to state administrative bodies.

The period for which the personal data will be stored and the criteria used to determine this period.

Your personal data will be processed for the period of time necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing. The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will delete personal data as soon as the purpose for which the personal data was processed ceases to exist.

We process your personal data for the period of time, which is determined to be necessary on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Legal claims: the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will retain your personal data until the expiration of the period of time during which you or the company can assert claims against the other party; or, as otherwise required under the law.
  • Litigation and other proceedings: Should the processing of your personal data be relevant to any proceedings in which the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) is a party (or intervener), the company will retain your personal data for the entire duration of such proceedings and for the period of time during which there can be any related subsequent and ancillary proceedings.

The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will store your personal data, which is being processed in connection with the submission of a contact form for a maximum period of 1 year from the date of the company’s last communication with you, at which time your personal data will be deleted. This limitation period does not apply to situations in which such data needs to be processed for an additional period in order to protect the legal rights of the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP).

Personal data is processed both manually and also electronically. Personal data is not made available to any other parties or entities, except as otherwise required under the law.
