Historic Tram Line No. 42

The route of the historic tram line - number 42 - have been planned to connect the most popular tourist destinations around the city center and to operate on the principle of hop-on, hop-off. Line Number 42 is in operation every saturday, sunday and public holidays.

Tickets:

  • All-Day Full Fare: CZK 250
  • All-Day Discounted Fare (children ages 4 to 15, students up to age 26, disabled (ZTP card), seniors aged 65 and over): CZK 150
  • Children (up to age 3): free

 

  • Tickets for both historic lines (no. 41 and 42) can be bought from the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) conductor after boarding the tram.
  • Tickets can also be bought at TIC Můstek (Tourist Information Center Můstek), TIC Staroměstská radnice (Tourist Information Center Staroměstská radnice) and IC Petřínské rozhledny(Tourist Information Center Petřínské rozhledny).
  • Tickets can be paid for both in cash and by cashless payment card.
  • The all-day ticket is valid for 24 hours from the time marked on it but only for travel on lines 42 and 41. It is not possible to use this special ticket for travel on regular public transport connections in Prague.
  • On line 42, the standard tariff (fare) of Prague Integrated Transport (PID) does not apply.

Line No. 42: Dlabačov – Pohořelec – Brusnice – Pražský hrad – Královský letohrádek – Malostranská – Právnická fakulta – Čechův most – Dlouhá třída – Náměstí Republiky – Masarykovo nádraží – Jindřišská – Václavské náměstí – Vodičkova – Lazarská – Národní třída – Národní divadlo – Újezd – Hellichova – Malostranské náměstí – Malostranská – Královský letohrádek – Pražský hrad – Brusnice – Pohořelec – Dlabačov.

Trams leave Dlabačov at 40 minutes intervals every saturday, sunday and public holidays starting at 10:00 am, with the last tram leaving at 6:00 pm
