Historic Tram Lines Nos. 42 and 43

Timetables for Lines 42 and 43

From 1 July to 31 August 2021, two new historic tram lines - numbers 42 and 43 - will be in operation in Prague. Their routes have been planned to connect the most popular tourist destinations around the city center and to operate on the principle of hop-on, hop-off.

  • Line Number 42 is in operation daily.
  • Line Number 43 operates on Wednesday afternoons, weekends and public holidays.

Tourists who visit Prague as part of the In Prague at Home program can exchange their special voucher points for all-day ride tickets on these tram lines, either directly with the conductors on the trams or at specified Prague City Tourism information centers. 

Tickets:

  • All-Day Full Fare: CZK 200 or 1 point from the In Prague at Home voucher.
  • All-Day Discounted Fare (children ages 4 to 15, students up to age 26, disabled (ZTP card), seniors aged 65 and over): CZK 100
  • Children (up to age 3): free
  • One-Time Adult Fare: CZK 50 *
  • One-Time Discounted Fare (children ages 4 to 15, students up to age 26, disabled (ZTP card), seniors aged 65 and over): CZK 30 *

    * the one-time fare is valid only on Line 43.
  • Tickets for both historic lines can be bought from the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) conductor after boarding the tram.
  • Tickets can also be bought at TIC Můstek (Tourist Information Center Můstek), TIC Staroměstská radnice (Tourist Information Center Staroměstská radnice) and IC Petřínské rozhledny(Tourist Information Center Petřínské rozhledny).
  • Points from the In Prague at Home voucher can be exchanged for an all-day ticket on both lines by a Prague City Tourism employee.
  • Tickets can be paid for both in cash and by cashless payment card.
  • The all-day ticket is valid for 24 hours from the time marked on it but only for travel on lines 42 and 43. It is not possible to use this special ticket for travel on regular public transport connections in Prague.
  • On lines 42 and 43, the standard tariff (fare) of Prague Integrated Transport (PID) does not apply.

Regular Travel Routes of Lines No. 42 and 43

Line No. 42: Dlabačov – Pohořelec – Brusnice – Pražský hrad – Královský letohrádek – Malostranská – Právnická fakulta – Čechův most – Dlouhá třída – Náměstí Republiky – Masarykovo nádraží – Jindřišská – Václavské náměstí – Vodičkova – Lazarská – Národní třída – Národní divadlo – Újezd – Helichova – Malostranské náměstí – Malostranská – Královský letohrádek – Pražský hrad – Brusnice – Pohořelec – Dlabačov.

Trams leave Dlabačov daily from 1 July through 31 August 2021 at half-hour intervals starting at 10:00 am, with the last tram leaving at 5:30 pm. Total travel time: 46 minutes.

Line No. 43: Vozovna Střešovice – Brusnice – Pražský hrad – Královský letohrádek – Sparta – Letenské náměstí – Kamenická – Strossmayerovo náměstí – Veletržní palác – Výstaviště Holešovice – Planetárium Praha – Výstaviště Holešovice – Veletržní palác – Strossmayerovo náměstí – Nábřeží Kapitána Jaroše – Čechův most – Malostranská – Královský letohrádek – Pražský hrad – Brusnice – Vozovna Střešovice.

Trams leave from Vozovna Střešovice on weekends and public holidays on the hour, at hourly intervals from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and every Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Total travel time: 38 minutes.
