On Monday, 3 November 2025, the first seven new Škoda ForCity Plus 52T trams entered full passenger service in Prague. DPP dispatched them on various runs of line 12, operating on the route Lehovec – Sídliště Barrandov.
DPP deployed the first seven Škoda 52T trams on line 12, where, as of Monday, 3 November 2025, they made up roughly one third of the vehicles in service. In the following weeks, up until the end of this year, DPP will gradually introduce additional new trams into service, until reaching the target of 20 vehicles, which will also appear on other routes operated by the Hloubětín depot.
The one-way, 100% low-floor Škoda 52T tram, 32 meters long and weighing 48 tons, is equipped with full-car air conditioning, LED lighting in the interior and exterior, and a modern information system consisting of six screens spread across the entire width of the aisle. The total capacity of the vehicle is up to 243 passengers, of which 70 are seated. Five double-leaf doors ensure quick and convenient passenger boarding.
For passengers who want to get acquainted with the new tram, DPP recommends line 12 – this is where the Škoda 52T vehicles will be primarily deployed and where they can be seen most frequently.
