DPP Prepares Construction of New Malovanka–Strahov Tram Line, Looking for a Contractor

Prague, 7 October 2025 – Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) has recently announced a public tender for the contractor of the Malovanka–Strahov tram line. Following the Olšanská–Habrová and Libuš–Nové Dvory projects, this is already the third tram line project for which DPP is looking for a contractor this year. Its estimated value is 1.02 billion crowns excluding VAT. Construction is expected to take 18 months from the handover of the construction site. DPP expects construction work to begin in spring 2026 and the new line to be operational in autumn 2027. The construction of the Malovanka–Strahov tram line is co-financed by the European Union under the Transport Programme 2021–2027.
