The First Škoda 52T Trams Enter Regular Passenger Service in Prague

Prague, 31 October 2025 – On Monday, 3 November 2025, the first seven new Škoda ForCity Plus 52T trams will enter regular passenger service in Prague. Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will dispatch them to various routes of tram line No. 12 from Lehovec to Sídliště Barrandov. DPP will gradually put all 20 ordered new Škoda 52T trams into service this year. DPP expects the delivery of the final, 20th vehicle from the first order at the beginning of December this year. The purchase of 20 Škoda 52T trams is co-financed by European Union subsidies from the National Recovery Plan in the amount of CZK 1.19 billion excluding VAT.
