Permanent Changes to PID as of the 29th April 2017

(the status as of the 13th April 2017)

Starting on Saturday, the 29th April 2017 (from the time of the commencement of the daily service) the reinforcement of the operation  of all the three metro lines on weekdays will occur based on an evaluation of  the comprehensive transport survey of the metro's operation. On many urban bus lines the evening intervals are shortened and the lines Nos. 113, 136 and 213 are also reinforced at peak times. The reinforcement of the operation, based on the requirements of the individual  city districts, is also implemented in the Uhříněves area and specifically in  the vicinity of the Venušina stop and on the route to the Háje metro station. Given that the suburban and regional bus lines have already filled the entire number sequence from 301 to 499 and that now the integrated transportation in the Central Bohemian Region is developing further, the numbers from 501 to 750 have been released for this specific purpose. For this reason all the night-time PID lines and certain selected urban and regional daytime lines will be renumbered.

The reinforcement of the metro's operation

  • Shortening the intervals on weekdays at the end of the afternoon rush hours.
  • Shortening the normal intervals to 7.5 minutes (throughout the week from cca. 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.).
  • The reinforcement of Friday's operation.
  • The A line - on weekdays all the connections will terminate at the Nemocnice Motol station.
  • The C line - during the morning rush hours on weekdays all the connections will terminate at the Letňany station.

Changes to the operation of the trams

All the night-time tramlines will be renumbered in the following manner:

51 → 91, 52 → 92, 53 → 93, 54 → 94, 55 → 95, 56 → 96, 57 → 97, 58 →  98, 59 → 99

Changes to the operation of the buses

Reinforcement of the daily service

  • Because of the continuity of the metro the intervals on most of the bus lines will be shortened (from 20 to 15 minutes or from 40 to 30 minutes) during the entire week between cca. 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
  • At various times on weekdays the intervals on lines numbers 113, 119125136 180 and 213 will also be shortened.
  • On weekends the interval on line number 100 is  shortened (from 30 to 15 minutes) and line number 118 will  be served by articulated buses.

In this case, however, this procedure will facilitate the acceleration of the integration process of the regional bus lines with the Prague Integrated Transport system and thereby expand the area in which passengers can travel using just a single ticket. Therefore, we believe that the above changes will be accepted and understood.
