SMS Ticket

An SMS ticket can only be purchased using a SIM card belonging to Czech operators.

SMS Ticket Advantages

• An SMS ticket can be purchased whenever and wherever a mobile phone can be used.
• The price of an SMS ticket is CZK 26 (incl. VAT); public transport users therefore do not pay even a crown more.
• An SMS ticket provides transfer options and is valid for 90 minutes
• An SMS ticket can also be used to pay the fare for a dog not being transported in a carrier.

SMS Ticket Usage Conditions

A client who wishes to purchase an SMS ticket must not have Premium SMS services blocked (these can be activated free of charge by calling your operator's assistance service). An SMS ticket can only be purchased using a SIM card belonging to Czech operators.

A public transport user using an SMS ticket is obliged to enter a vehicle or the transit zone of the metro or of the funicular on Petrin Hill already having received a valid SMS ticket on his mobile phone.

SMS Ticket Purchase Procedure

1. on your mobile communications device, write the text: DPT
2. send it to the phone number 902 06 26.

Within approximately two minutes, an SMS ticket will arrive. This time is only an estimate. An SMS ticket will appear on the display of the mobile communications device.

SMS Ticket Validity

The time validity of an SMS ticket is always 90 minutes, between the times specified in the SMS ticket. An SMS ticket can be used to transfer within Prague, only in Zone P (metro, trams, public transport buses: lines 100-299 and 501-513, and the funicular on Petrin Hill). It is not valid in Zone 0 and in outlying tariff zones. It is not valid in Czech Railways trains.
An SMS ticket can also be used as the fare for a dog not being transported in a carrier.
An SMS ticket is invalid if:

• it has expired,
• it was used outside tariff zone P,
• it was not sent by an authorized distributor of SMS tickets,
• it has been modified, overwritten or resent in any way,
• by fault of the public transport user its validity cannot be verified.

SMS Ticket Duplicate

A duplicate of an SMS ticket can be obtained in the event that it was erased during its term of validity, for a fee of CZK 6. The procedure for obtaining a duplicate of an already purchased ticket is as follows:

1. on your mobile communications device, write the text: DPTA
2. send it to the phone number 900 06 06

Tax Receipt

A tax receipt can be issued in electronic form at the internet portal www.smsjizdenka.cz. By entering the phone number used to purchase the SMS ticket, the public transport user is given access to the system, which contains a complete list of SMS tickets issued to that phone number. After confirming the selection of an SMS ticket or a given time period, an electronic tax receipt will be displayed, which can then be printed out.
