Surcharge amount

Within the territory of the Capital City of Prague (P, O, B), surcharge (penalty fare) amounts are set as follows:

• CZK 2,000 – the standard surcharge for travelling without a valid travel document
  • The surcharge is reduced to CZK 1,500 if paid no later than the 15th calendar day from the date of inspection at the Additional Fare Office or online. Both payment types may be made from 12:30 pm on the following day at the earliest. If a passenger is found during inspection to be presenting a forged, altered or otherwise tampered-with travel document, no reduction is granted.
  • If paid on the spot during inspection, the standard surcharge for travelling without a valid travel document is reduced to CZK 1,200.
• CZK 2,000 – surcharge for breaching the provisions of Act No. 111/1994 Coll., Act No. 266/1994 Coll., Decree of the Ministry of Transport and Communications No. 175/2000 Coll., and the PID Transport Conditions
  • The surcharge is reduced to CZK 1,500 if paid no later than the 15th calendar day from the date of inspection at the Additional Fare Office or online.. Payment may be made from 12:30 pm on the following day at the earliest.
  • If paid on the spot during inspection, the surcharge is reduced to CZK 1,000.
• CZK 600 – surcharge for unpaid fare (e.g. for luggage or a dog)
  • The surcharge is reduced to CZK 400 if paid no later than the 15th calendar day from the date of inspection at the Additional Fare Office or online. Payment may be made from 12:30 pm on the following day at the earliest.
  • If paid on the spot during inspection, the surcharge is reduced to CZK 200.
• CZK 50 – surcharge for a forgotten time ticket (coupon) issued on the basis of personal data, with a monthly or longer validity period, valid at the time of inspection. This must be proven at the Additional Fare Office no earlier than the next working day from 12:30 pm and no later than the 15th day from the date of imposition.

Notice: A passenger is not entitled to the reduced surcharge of CZK 50 for travel documents purchased, validated, or activated only after the time of the transport inspection. Transferring CZK 50 to DPP’s account is not considered proof of entitlement to the reduced surcharge and the outstanding amount will continue to be enforced.
