Information Centres of the Prague Public Transit Company announcing operational changes

Starting on the 27th of April (or from the 2nd of May 2016), there are the following changes in the operation of Information Centres of the Prague Public Transit Company: Terminal 1 Information Centre will be temporarily closed (and subsequently relocated). Moreover, opening hours of some other branches will be adjusted.

Petřín funicular re-opens after reconstruction

After more than a half- year closure, the reconstructed funicular to Petřín was put into operation for the travelling public again on Friday, the 8th of April 2016 from 11:00 a.m.). The reconstruction, absolutely unique by its length and the extent of restoration, commenced at the beginning of September 2015.

Public Transport Museum to open, historical line no. 91 to set off to the streets

Starting on Friday, the 25th of March 2016, the Public Transport Museum in Prague – Střešovice is re-opening for visitors again. More over, traffic in the streets will be liven up by a historical tram line no 91.

The Information Centre at Hradčanská Metro Station is now open again

On Thursday, the 17th December 2015 the Prague Public Transit Company reopened the restored Information Centre at Hradčanská metro station.

Reduced prices for a 1-year ticket and free transport for dogs – changes to the PIT Tariff starting from the 1st July 2015

As of the 1st July 2015, a number of significant changes will take place in the Prague Integrated Transport’s Tariff, which will make the use of public transport in Prague considerably more attractive for passengers.

From Monday the 1st June 2015 all the Metro Trains will go to Petřiny

From Monday the 1st June 2015 no trains on the metro A line running in the direction of the centre will terminate at Dejvická station.

New Prague Public Transit Company Info Centre at Hlavní nádraží

The Prague Public Transit Company has opened a new centre of transport information on Tuesday 22 October 2013 at the Hlavní nádraží. The office is already the sixth operating Info Centre. All of them cater for about one million passengers every year.
