The City of Prague, in cooperation with the Prague Public Transit Company, is offering passengers a new mobile application for their convenient and immediate access to all the relevant information needed for carefree travelling within the Prague Integrated Transport System.

As of Sunday, the 28th August 2016 several permanent changes will take place to the operation of Prague Integrated Transport System. These comprise specifically the following modifications to tramline routes – while the routes of twelve lines will remain the same the route of nine lines will be adjusted and three new lines will commence operation.

The Prague Public Transit Company, in cooperation with ČSOB, a. s., MasterCard® Europe SA and Mikroelektronika spol. s. r. o., is expanding its pilot project for contactless fare payment by means of a payment card to Škoda 15T trams to also include all the No. 18 line’s connections.

Starting on the 27th of April (or from the 2nd of May 2016), there are the following changes in the operation of Information Centres of the Prague Public Transit Company: Terminal 1 Information Centre will be temporarily closed (and subsequently relocated). Moreover, opening hours of some other branches will be adjusted.
After more than a half- year closure, the reconstructed funicular to Petřín was put into operation for the travelling public again on Friday, the 8th of April 2016 from 11:00 a.m.). The reconstruction, absolutely unique by its length and the extent of restoration, commenced at the beginning of September 2015.

Starting on Friday, the 25th of March 2016, the Public Transport Museum in Prague – Střešovice is re-opening for visitors again. More over, traffic in the streets will be liven up by a historical tram line no 91.
