Free transportation for citizens of Ukraine

As of 12 June 2022, the terms and conditions for use of the Prague Integrated Transport (Pražská integrovaná doprava – “PID”) network by Ukrainian war refugees are as follows:

a) Entitlement to use public transport for CZK 0 for 5 days

The following temporary protection documents issued by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic or the Police of the Czech Republic shall be deemed proof of the entitlement to use public transport in Prague and in the Central Bohemian Region for CZK 0:

Ukrainian passport with a temporary protection visa (sticker or stamp) (visa code D/DO/667)
Border crossing card with a temporary protection visa (sticker or stamp)(visa code D/DO/667); if a photograph is not affixed to the border crossing card, the traveller must also present a Ukrainian personal identity card

The above 5-day period begins to run on the day when the temporary protection visa (stamp with visa) is issued to the traveller. Travellers younger than 18 years old accompanying the person with the above valid documents are also entitled to the above benefit.
The entitlement to travel for CZK 0 shall not apply to the AE line and the PID peripheral zones for trips by inter-regional bus lines within the Liberec Region, Ústí nad Labem Region, Hradec Králové Region, Pardubice Region and Vysočina Region.
Ukrainian citizens who do not meet the above conditions are not entitled to travel free of charge and are obliged to pay fares according to the PID Tariff Schedule.

b) Entitlement to prepaid fares for persons falling under the “Financial Hardship 2” tariff category

Ukrainian citizens with the following temporary protection documents issued by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the Police of the Czech Republic are entitled prepaid fares under the “Financial Hardship 2” tariff category only within Prague (P, O and B tariff zones), including trains:

Ukrainian passport with sufferance visa (sticker or stamp) (visa code D/VS/U) or temporary protection visa (sticker or stamp) (visa code D/DO/667)
Border crossing card with sufferance visa (sticker or stamp) (visa code D/DO/667); if a photograph is not affixed to the border crossing card, the traveller must also present a Ukrainian identity card.

The following may only be obtained at the Prague Public Transit (Dopraví podnik Praha - “DPP”) points of sale:

PID card (labelled “HN2”) – required to purchase paper vouchers
Personal identifier in the PID Lítačka system – required to purchase electronic vouchers

For the issuance of a the PID “HN2” card, a passport photograph, identity card and one of the above visas need to be presented. The fee for the PID card is CZK 60.
Prepaid vouchers in paper or electronic form are available in these variants:

Monthly /30-day ...................................................CZK 165
Quarterly/90-day ................................................CZK 444

Ukrainian citizens who do not fulfil the above conditions must pay fares in the regular way according to the PID Tariff Schedule.
“Guest Tickets” (“Jízdenky pro hosta”) that have already been issued continue to be valid until the date indicated on the ticket. These tickets are valid only within Prague (Zones P, O and B) and do not apply to trains.
New “Guest Tickets” (“Jízdenky pro hosta”) are no longer issued.
