Florenc (B/C)

Barrier-free access at the metro station Florence is provided by passenger lifts from the line C platform and the line B platform.

Access to the line C platform

Two passenger lifts connecting the street level and the C-line platform level are available for barrier-free transport of immobile persons, for passengers with perambulators and persons with restricted mobility. Lift one ends close to the surface urban transport station (direction Žižkov); its bottom station is in the underground passage at the metro platform level. Lift two abuts the staircase at the vestibule of the Florenc station, metro line C.

Access to line B platforms

Two passenger lifts connecting the street level and the B-line platform level are available for barrier-free transport of immobile persons, for passengers with perambulators and persons with restricted mobility. At the street level the first lift entrance is situated close to the crossing of Na Florenci St. and Sokolovská St., the bottom entrance is in the underground passage. Lift two is situated in the front part of the transfer corridor between the staircases leading to the platform.

Transfer between metro lines C and B

Transferring between the two metro lines is only possible by means of the surface route. For example, to transfer from line C to line B one has first to use the lift from the line C platform to the surface, and pass to the line B lifts.

On both levels the lifts are labelled by pictograms and access to the lifts at both the vestibule and the platform is shown in the information panels.

Note: The two B-line lifts are also equipped with an interconnected system that informs the passengers, in case of a failure of one or both lifts, about interrupted barrier-free connection at the station. The relevant information is shown on a display installed at the landing-call push-buttons of the first lift at the street level and of the second lift at the platform level. The voice message is initiated upon opening the door of the first list at the street level and upon opening the door of the second lift at the metro platform level.
