100-year-old Tram Will Run in Prague

On Saturday, 22 March 2008 at 12:00 noon, jubilee tram vehicle No. 240 will depart Střešovice Depot on its first run of the nostalgic tram line No. 91. The vehicle was manufactured by František Ringhoffer's company, and February 29th was the 100th anniversary of it being deployed in the fleet belonging to the Electrical Works.

Aside from the aesthetic rounding of hitherto square shapes, the interior was also modified. The interior received generous amounts of light from large sliding windows, and the bench along the wall remained only on one side, while the other side featured forward-facing seats.

This vehicle model had Křižík MVB 35 traction motors with an output of 26 kW.

It will also depart Střešovice Depot at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., and at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. this tram vehicle will depart from Výstaviště. We wish you a pleasant journey.
